What is broad spectrum CBD?

'Broad spectrum' is a lesser-known type of CBD product compared to 'full spectrum' and 'isolate'.

Broad spectrum starts off life as full spectrum CBD, which contains the entire range of cannabinoids from the hemp plant. It then undergoes the same refinement process as isolate to remove certain cannabinoids, like the psychoactive compound THC that gives you the feeling of being 'high'.

This further refinement process isolates the plant's cannabinoids so they can then be put back together in a desired composition.

Some broad spectrum products are essentially full spectrum CBD with only the THC taken away, and all the other cannabinoids left in tact. Some manufacturers do this in countries where THC is illegal.

Other broad spectrum products may just include CBD (cannabidiol), plus some of the common cannabis plant compounds like terpenes and flavinoids.

Benefits of Broad Spectrum CBD

Avoidance of THC for a drug test - Broad spectrum CBD has had its THC content removed altogether for those that prefer to avoid it if they ever have to undergo a drug test.

Avoidance of THC due to sensitivity - If a user is super sensitive to the psychoactive effects of THC, it is best to take Broad Spectrum CBD or isolate.

It still contains powerful CBD - Even without the synergistic 'entourage effect' of a full spectrum product, the cannabidiol (CBD), terpenes and flavinoids found in most broad spectrum products delivers plenty of benefits.

All of Natural Strains CBD products are full spectrum so our customers can enjoy a broader spectrum of benefits and take advantage of the entourage effect.
